#9 Build With Intention | Pivoting Isn't Failure. Staying Stuck Is.
"The measure of intelligence is the ability to change." โ Albert Einstein Hello Reader, I almost titled this one "The Art of Letting Go." But that felt too soft for what I actually want to say. So let's talk about pivoting. IntentionPivoting isn't failure. Staying stuck is. The founders who win aren't the ones who got it right the first time. They're the ones who recognised when the soil had changed and replanted. A pivot isn't giving up. It's choosing clarity over ego. The market doesn't care about our original plan. It rewards alignment. InsightA few months ago, we were stuck. We'd built a solid product. Spent late nights. Got the team onboarded. Did all the "right" things. But the market had shifted. The results weren't there. And no matter how hard we pushed, nothing moved. Then my marketing head asked a question I wasn't expecting: "How do we position ourselves in the market?" Not "how do we sell harder." Not "how do we tweak the funnel?" How do we position ourselves? That one question unravelled everything. We weren't building the wrong product. We were solving the wrong problem for the moment we were in. So we pivoted. Not the features, the entire lens. Now? We have a 10x product. Aligned with where the market is going, not where it was. The late nights didn't go to waste. They got us to the edge. The pivot got us across. ActionThis week, ask yourself one honest question: Am I building for the market that exists or the one I wish existed? If you're pushing hard and nothing's moving, the answer might not be "try harder." It might be: reposition. ๐ This Week's ReadingStill with 10x Is Easier Than 2x by Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy. This one hit different:: "Every next level of your life will require a different you." Sometimes the 10x leap isn't forward. It's sideways: into a version of yourself willing to let go of what's not working. โGrab the bookโ โ What's one thing you're building with intention right now? Build well. |
